Admissions

You鈥檒l need to complete . There is a $60 application fee.聽

To apply you should have a bachelor鈥檚 degree in engineering,聽science or technology and a 3.0 GPA or higher.

Students with degrees in other related disciplines may be considered, but may need to take preparatory courses before applying. The department identifies the need for prerequisite coursework on an individual basis.

Statement of Goals

In one to three聽pages, describe your relevant technical experiences and career goals. The statement聽should reflect your influences, values, aspirations聽and interest in the Engineering Management MS聽program. The following questions may be addressed.

  • What particular experiences or exposure (academic, professional, etc.) prepared or motivated you to pursue an Engineering Management MS?
  • How would you expect to change over the course of the program?
  • What personal and professional values and skills do you hope to acquire through the academic content?
  • How will obtaining an Engineering Management MS support your career objectives or potential career path(s)?
  • Given the importance of teamwork and collaboration in business, what are the most significant strengths or contributions you believe you bring to a team?
GRE Scores

Submitting your GRE test score聽is optional.聽

Applicants should have a technical background in engineering, mathematics, science聽or technology. Two years' relevant work experience in a company is preferred, but exceptions can be made.

International Applicant Requirements

In addition to the standard application requirements, international applicants need to submit the following credentials.

  1. Transcripts or marksheets and degree certificates or diplomas in your original language are required. You鈥檒l also need translations of these academic documents by an appropriate university or government official. You may submit photocopies for the admissions process, but should submit original documents if you鈥檙e accepted and choose to attend.
  2. Evaluation: The department encourages applicants who have attended international post-secondary institutions to have their credentials evaluated by a agency and submit a course-by-course evaluation. This will speed up the admissions process.
  3. TOEFL or the academic version of the IELTS exam: The minimum score for the College of Engineering is聽79 iBT or 6.5 IELTS. These scores must be submitted directly from the testing agency. Students who have taken the IELTS may submit a photocopy of their score results.

Applicants seeking an F-1 or J-1 visa must also submit

  • a Certificate of Eligibility Application, which聽includes the passport information you鈥檒l need to submit, space for you to fill out academic and immigration international student information, and instructions on where to submit the application;
  • to attend 51动漫; and聽
  • a copy of the identification page of your passport.
