Careers
Pursuing a historic preservation degree will develop your skills in design, history and theory, building technology, and research methods. Students learn versatility and technical skills while becoming adept in traditional practice and new technologies. Graduates are prepared to enter a competitive workforce聽and apply聽their knowledge and creativity to tackle society鈥檚 toughest challenges.聽
Graduates of the Historic Preservation Major program are equipped to work under the supervision of an architect or an architectural historian to document historical buildings, undertake archival research or other more general aspects of architectural practice not requiring licensure. Graduates are prepared to apply for graduate studies in architecture, historic preservation or a related discipline.
